After a messy divorce, failing to up at the People's Choice Awards, meeting up with estranged husband Russell Brand and dyeing her hair blue, what is next for singer Katy Perry? Apparently, she's focusing her single life on the game - literally.

Electronic Arts, or EA as it is known, is a video game empire that's popular all over the world. Now, the gaming giant has enlisted a major pop star to advertise their highly addictive game - 'The Sims.' Who else is fit to advertise such an extensive and not to mention exclusive creative collaboration than Katy Perry?

EA announced last Tuesday their plans to "develop multiple games within." The newest plan for Sims features a "special Katy Perry themed in-game content and virtual goods." Set for a release by March of later this year, the result of this anticipated collaboration is an expansion pack for The Sims 3 Showtime: Katy Perry Collector's Edition.

Katy Perry for The Sims

This isn't the first time Perry has been introduced to the addictive universe of The Sims. In fact, the singer recorded her top chart hit "Hot and Cold" in the language of the Sims, Simlish, in 2006 for the Sims 2 expansion pack.

"I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters - giving them different careers and watching them succeed," shared Perry.

"It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour - even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!"

As popular as the game is now and with this new collaboration, The Sims will most likely be even more addictive, especially for fans of Katy Perry who just can't seem to get enough of her. This only means one thing for the "Fireworks" star, she may have lost a hubby but she got a whole universe in return, the Sim-iverse that is.

As for the game, "Katy Perry Sims 3: Showtime", it is now available for pre-order on the official website of the Sims Studio.
