Kourtney Kardashian Shares First Photo Of Baby Reign Disick And Tells The Story Behind His Name
Reality TV star and business mogul Kourtney Kardashian has finally shared a photo of her third child Reign Aston Disick several months after he was born. She also shared how she and her boyfriend Scott arrived at the name Reign for the latest addition to their growing brood.
About two weeks ago, Kourtney finally posted a full photo of her baby boy on Instagram. The photo came nearly four months after Reign’s birth on December 14 last year. She had previously only been teasing images of the baby by showing his hands or feet and other photos where he was partially or completely concealed. This time around, Kourtney went all out and showed a full photo of the smiling baby as he lay wearing an adorable onesie. She captioned the shot: “My little turtle dove angel baby boy Reign Aston Disick.”
Apart from sharing the adorable photo of her new baby boy, Kourtney also shared the story behind the bab name. She talked to People magazine and revealed that the name Reign had always been in the shortlist back when they were choosing a name for their first child. They eventually went with the name Mason Dash for their first child who was born five years ago. Incidentally, Reign was also born on December 14, Mason's birthday.
When Kourtney got pregnant with her second child, Penelope, she says that the name was considered again but spelled “R-A-I-N” for a girl. The couple went the other way again and chose Penelope Scotland. Kourtney says that she is never sure about the names of her children until they are born. This time around, for her third child, the name Reign was resurrected and she finally found the perfect fit.
Kourtney and her long time love Scott Disick have been together since 2006 and have since had three children together. All three pregnancies have been documented in the family’s reality TV shows. The birth of Reign is expected to be one of the highlights of Season 10 of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” which airs every Suinday at 9 p.m. on E.
