Even though her father is said to be currently rejoicing that she is “finally awake,” Bobbi Kristina’s future is unclear, according to the family’s lawyer. The lawyer said in a statement that even though the young celebrity would have a long life, how functional she would be in the future is still unknown. An insider, however, divulged that Bobbi's condition has not changed for the last 12 weeks, contrary to what the family and the attorney is saying.

An attorney for Bobby Brown confirmed that Bobbi would still have a long life ahead of her, but whether this would be a full life is unclear. Bobby shocked many on his concert at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas when he suddenly blurted out that he is happy that his daughter with Whitney Houston is finally awake and that she is “watching” him.

His attorney, Christopher Brown, clarified in a statement that this is true, but the prognosis is not year clear. “Doctors have indicated that she will have a long life,” he said in a statement. “However, Bobbi Kristina is presently embarking on a rehabilitation process and the quality of her life will not be known for years to come.”

Bobby’s wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, shared in the same statement that Bobby was just overwhelmed with joy over his daughter’s progress that he became emotional at the concert on Saturday, April 18. Bobby is said to be very encouraged in regard to the progress made by Bobbi, especially since she already made it out of the ICU and already “opened her eyes.” The wife added that rehabilitation, however, would be a “long and hard” process.

Meanwhile, a source close to the family refutes all these claims that Bobbi is better. A source knowledgeable of the said young celebrity’s condition claimed to CNN that she is not awake, contrary to what her father claimed during the concert. The source added that the 22-year-old remains in the same neurological state that she has been for the last three months. Even though she's not in a coma anymore or sedated, she reportedly does not respond to visitors or even familiar voices. Her eyes do not follow people around the room as well. The source added that Bobbi still has a tracheostomy in her throat.
