According to the latest report, the LG G4 release date is tipped for April 28 at a special media event scheduled in New York, London, Seoul, Paris, Singapore and Istanbul. Apparently, LG has started sending out invitations to the event. And the invitation reads, “See The Great, Feel The Great.” With the impending release, here is a roundup of specifications, leaked images and features collated thus far.

LG G4 Features And Design

The rumoured LG G4 features include a LG G Pen stylus that is expected to be in the likes of the S Pen stylus accompanying the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet. And as per reports, the tech giant will be marketing the G4 as the competitor to Samsung Galaxy Note line-up of devices. On the design front, the plastic chassis synonymous with LG phones will apparently be maintained even in the upcoming flagship. On the other hand, the company is also planning to release a bigger sibling to the flagship dubbed LG G4 Note. And if rumours are to be believed, the LG G4 Note will house a premium metal chassis, notes Phone Arena.

LG G4 Specifications

As far as the LG G4 specifications go, the handset will reportedly feature a 5.6-inch display complemented by a killer 1,440 x 2,560 pixels screen resolution. It is worth reminding that, the predecessor LG G3 comes with a 5.5-inch display and 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution.

According to Android Headlines, under the hood, the device is expected to be powered by a new 64-bit (Qualcomm Snapdragon 808) chipset with a hexa-core processor and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores bundled with two ARM Cortex-A57 cores. Plus, the graphics department will apparently be taken care by Adreno 418 GPU. In the meantime, the LG G3 is powered by a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) Krait 400 processor, clocked at 2.5 GHz.

Other key LG G4 specifications include a 15 MP rear-facing camera unit, 3 GB of RAM configuration and 32 GB of in-built storage capacity. Furthermore, a new payment system in the likes of Apple Pay and Samsung Pay will reportedly be introduced. Adding a cherry on top, a fingerprint scanner will also be part of the device to give tough competition to both Samsung and Apple devices, says Phone Arena.
