It was just a week ago when a certain Chelsea Gill posted a personal song over at YouTube asking the actor Jason Segel to go out with her for a couple of drinks. And guess what? She became the actor's date during an awards ceremony last Saturday. Talk about dreams coming true for this girl's 2012!

Chelsea is a fresh graduate from Indiana University and at 23, went to Chicago to pursue acting. She recalls the day that she recorded the video is that she was watching the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall'"and since she had her guitar with her, she just started strumming and making some music on her own.

She wrote what she considers a 'silly song' asking Jason Segel for a date out but she never ever imagined it would really come true or that the actor would even actually see it. All the rest of the magic started with Segel tweeting a link to her video and even considering it as his 'favorite thing, maybe ever.'

Right there and then, the lucky girl got a quick call from the actor's publicist and told her of the actor's intention to bring her along the Chicago Film Critic Awards Show and even brought her twin sister along.

All three shared a good drink at the Ritz-Carlton before even going for the awards show. Chelsea found the actor to be truly humble and funny in real life. As for the others who may say that she is just using the chance to have a shot at her acting career, she insists that she did not do the video just to gain fame. She was just simply touched to have spent a day with the actor despite his busy schedule.
