MacMall, Sam's Club and Staples started taking pre-orders for Apple iPad Pro
Apple’s much awaited 12.9-inch giant screen tablet is finally available for pre-orders. Online retailers including SamClub and Staples as well as authorised Apple reseller MacMall have started taking pre-orders for the Apple iPad Pro.
As reported by Techno Buffalo, Sam’s Club started listing the device on Nov. 6 with a shipping date of Nov. 13. Now the website is already going out of stock as a result of the soaring demand of the device. Sam’s Club offered the 32GB model for US$787 (AU$1115) and the 128GB variant for US$937 (AU$1328) in Gold, Silver and Space Gray.
The tablet sports 12.9-inch Retina Display with 2732 x 2048 resolution and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Powered by the third generation of A9X chipset, 4GB RAM and 64-bit desktop-class architecture, the device boasts up to 10 hours of battery life. The iPad Pro also features 8MP iSight rear camera, 1.2MP FaceTime HD front camera and four speaker audio.
MacMall is also offering the device in a slightly discounted price at US$787 (AU$1115) but has only Space Gray in stock. The official price starts from US$799 (AU$1132).
In the meantime, Staples, one of the largest online retailers of the U.S., started taking pre-orders for the Wi-Fi only models of the iPad Pro with accessories including the Apple Pencil (US$99 or AU$140), Smart Keyboard (US$169 or AU$240), Smart Covers (US$59 or AU$84) and Silicone Cases (US$79 or AU$112), reports Mac Rumors.
The online retailer is not offering any discounts on the iPad Pro and listed the 32 GB models at the official price of US$799 (AU$1132) and 128 GB models for US$949 (AU$1345). It is worth mentioning that, customers who buy from Staples would receive the device much later, with shipping starting from Nov. 25. There has been no official confirmation on the pricing and availability of the iPad Pro in Australia.
