‘Minecraft’ Snapshot 16W32B is out, Oculus Rift Windows 10 support dated
Mojang has released the snapshot 16w32b, and it comes with some new improvements as well as bug fixes. But what can be seen in the new snapshot may not be all that the developer is planning.
“While we plan to keep larger new features as a surprise to reveal at Minecon, some of the smaller changes will make it into snapshots in the following weeks,” said the developer in the official “Minecraft” blog.
Among the changes that fans can expect include the following:
- Some mobs are now more afraid of getting wet in the water
- More spawns for many different mobs
- Mob types have been separated: Guardians and Elder Guardian, Skeleton, Stray and Wither Skeleton, Zombie, Zombie Villager and Husk and Horse, Skeleton Horse, Zombie Horse, Mule and Donkey
- Hunger and saturation effects have been changed
- Resource pack format has been changed
- Most commands now use blockstate definitions
- Lightning storm will now attract less skeleton horses
The developer also featured a long list of bugs that have been fixed in the new snapshot, as well as the older snapshot. As usual, fans can report bugs that they will find in the new snapshot.
Play ‘Minecraft’ in VR
Players of “Minecraft Windows 10 Edition” may be looking at enjoying “Minecraft in VR as early as next week.
According to MSPoweruser, “Minecraft Windows 10 Edition will get Oculus Rift support. It seems that the virtual reality aspect of the game will not be available on PC or Mac.
There is good news for fans who are already playing “Minecraft” on either of the aforementioned platforms. It’s because this means that they can already get the Windows 10 Edition with no additional cost.
For now, there is no definite date yet on when Oculus Rift support will come to “Minecraft Windows 10 Edition.” More details are expected to arrive as the expected release date nears.
