Judgment week is almost here for Scrolls
Those who are also looking out for Mojang's other game-- Scrolls, should also be excited as Judgment Week is almost here. As the developers had promised, Judgment Week will introduce the second major Scrolls update.
And it's going to be a big one since it will affect your gaming strategy, the way you earn scrolls, and the capability and style of interacting with fellow players.
A new mode will be introduced in the update called Judgment. This mode serves as a training ground to test you on the battlefield and in deck-building. Instead of using your own collection of scrolls, you have to create a bespoke deck taken form a random selection and use only these for five competitive matches.
It's a harder battle considering the many factors that can affect it, as well as its high dependence on your strategic skills.
Spectator mode is also available, and you can watch Scrolls Live with permission of the players. Click on the Arena section and you can choose to watch a match. Two pre-con decks will also be available, but can only be purchased using gold or shards in-game.
Mojang has also tweaked the mechanics for lost matches as well so that your efforts will be more duly rewarded. So starting next week, the gold rewarded for multiplayer losses will be around twice as much. But this also means that win rewards have been reduced by 10%.
The biggest news is potentially the 44 new scrolls, delivered in batches after the update is rolled out. The scrolls are available for viewing on the official Scrolls website. Watch out for these updates on October 21.
