'Minecraft: Xbox 360' TU 12 Bugs Found by Fans; World of Minecraft Happening in London
The "Minecraft: Xbox 360" TU 12 has already been released by 4J Studios, and already, fans seemed to have taken the update to their own "Minecraft" worlds to see what the additions are all about.
As fast as it may seem, there were already those who have found bugs in the system and have taken to the forums for the developers to take note of for future updates.
Some of the bugs that you may encounter were pointed out by KrooKeD_EyE. "Redstone cannot be placed on upside down half slabs and upside stairs... Also placing upside stairs/slabs is very different from the PC. In Xbox you have to place it on the bottom of a block located above the location you want it. I assume this is a bug."
To which the developers have already responded to, with the first issue already added to the 1.3.1 update, while the next is currently being changed for a future update.
Trollface_Timo also raised a number of issues, such as the pistons having a graphical bug when placed pointing downwards, the messed up hitboxes for cocoa beans pods and issues with the textures for cocoa bean pods.
4JSteve from 4J Studios has also responded to this, which can be assumed as their looking into the problems.
KiLLFAIR729 also pointed out a few bugs, "My biome changed (again) to rain. The snow biome stayed though, but it rains instead of snows. The grass, trees, and lighting is all the same for the snow biome."
4J Studios pointed out that these happened even with multiple updates, so a permanent fix may not be available as of yet.
Stay tuned for more bug updates with their corresponding responses from developers. It seemed like a new update will be in order.
Join in the World of Minecraft Celebration
Those who will be in London on August 30 may be treated to a special celebration, as they can join The World of Minecraft, a gathering made possible by Mojang and Friday Late.
"Minecraft" fans who want to experience the game beyond the screen can enjoy installations, music, performances, talks and exclusive workshops, all featuring the game that has created a generation of followers.
"Minecraft is more than a game. Explore the boundaries of a video game and reality, where lines begin to blur with each new use," according to the invitation.
Admission is free to anyone who can come, but it is on a first come, first served basis.
The World of Minecraft features a museum that traces the changes of the game, paired with the official soundtrack from C418. There will also be a Theo Void Sound System, wherein a team from Theo Void will create thematic soundtrack paired with Minecraft parodies and animations.
There will also be installations at the event, from the Minecraft Art History created by artist Greg Aronowitz who takes inspirations from V&A collections, to The Ocelot Walk, featuring artwork from YouTube creators and showcasing their favorite mob-inspired outfits.
You can keep the memories of these installations, as photo shoots are available in the event.
Jens Bergensten, lead designer and one of the developers of "Minecraft," will also be present to hold a talk on Game Creating, where he will speak about the art and creation of the game. Other talks will include a series of shorts with Pontus Westerberg, which will discuss "Minecraft's" usefulness in terms of being a tool to help upgrade public spaces in real life.
Two workshops are also scheduled for the event. The first is Printcraft, wherein a demo from Paul Harter will reveal how you can get your "Minecraft" creations into reality via 3D printing (and get it done as a sourvenir!). There is also Skin Studio, which will feature new technology from 57 digital to allow you to colour a "Minecraft" skin in real life and then move it to the digital space in "Minecraft."
