4J Studios celebrated its 5 million sales award from Microsoft with an acknowledgement tweet, but Minecraft fans were more interested in the photo that came alongside it.

In an effort to keep any updates of the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12 details, forum members have been abuzz with what the photo contains, and according to fans, the photo reveals some information about the upcoming texture pack.

DaltonPlaysMinecraft posted, "The info I wanted to explain to you is that by the looks of it, you will only be able to pick a texture pack at the start of the game and everyone in that world will use the same texture pack."

However, another user, Deskepticon, countered his claim, saying, "I think texture packs will be client side only. Meaning that each player can pick which texture they want to view the world in. Otherwise, unless a player had downloaded the same texture pack, it would have to stream from the server causing tremendous lag. With the current lag issues in MP, I would think 4J would avoid this route."

There have also been speculations about what can be found in the texture pack based on the photos. Some have suggested that minecrart track, nether fences, and potentially new blocks.

As for the release date, speculations range from anywhere between this month and next month, following the usual timeframe of update releases.

In terms of official announcements, 4J Studios has previously announced that it will be releasing trial versions for the mash-up packs and skin packs of the TU 12, with no time limit of trial. The catch is that you cannot save the trial pack and those who view your world without the trial pack can't see what's really happening, but at least it's a great way to see which mash-up packs would be nice to avail of before actually going for the buy.

Fan predictions and wish lists

With the Microsoft Cert Testing still on the horizon, fans have taken to the forums to voice out possible wish lists, most of which include villager trading, enchantment books, beacons, and anvils.

Forums member winterwrought's wish list includes jungle or desert temples, witches and huts, flowerpots, and rare drops, but none of them so far came close to what 4J Studios has already revealed to be part of the update.

Texture packs have also been a point of discussion, with a MrKennyMcCrommick giving five possibilities for texture packs, namely Dokucraft, Pure BDcraft, Faithful, Flow HD, and Soartex.

With all the additions that seem to be packed in the Minecraft Xbox 360 TU 12, it won't be a surprise if the update is not rolled out in one go, and even the fans have been speculating about this notion.

The update can be divided into at least two parts, with the trial packs trickling in first so that those who want to check out the texture packs and mash-up packs that they will be purchasing can be rolled out first, followed by all the mandatory updates and features that have already been teased by 4J Studios.

There is still time before August comes to a close, but it's important to remember that 4J Studios is putting all the effort possible to creating the TU 12 pack into something that's not just worthy of Microsoft Cert Testing standards, but also an update for fans who have been waiting long and hard for it.
