Cobalt goes to Xbox One, Xbox 360
At the Gamescom event, Mojang has announces its first third-party-published game Cobalt, which will be heading to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Cobalt brings you cyborgs, weapons, and maneuvers, where you will be executing moves like combat rolls, rocket punches, and wall jumps.
According to Mojang's official newswire, the game will be ported to the console by FatShark AB, as it is currently only available for the PC and Mac.
"Since we started developing Cobalt, it's been obvious that the game would feel right at home on a console," said Pontus Hammarberg, one of the developers of the game. "We're working on a hefty single player campaign, but there's nothing quite like experiencing the slow motion ballet of violence that is Cobalt with friends."
Minecraft 1.7 update hinted?
Players are currently enjoying the latest update, the Minecraft 1.6.2, which featured a few bug fixes when it debuted last July 8.
But it seems that developers are now hard at work, and are able to give a glimpse of what to expect come the 1.7 update. On the official Minecraft Forums site, the picture of a sunflower was teased by developer Jens Bergensten.
"Here's a new way to tell north from south, and west from east, in future Minecraft."
Most of the developments for the 1.7 update has been tightly kept confidential, but another update form the forums revealed impact particles that will be utilised in the update as a way to help immersion.
In the report, it is said that the father you fall from a certain distance, generate particles will impact from whatever that block you will land on is. Updates are expected to trickle in, which may hint at the readiness of the update in a while.
