At last, Motorola's much-anticipated Moto 360 smartwatch has been released in the UK. The unique device is available in black and silver for £199.99.

Since the release has been postponed several times in the past, Motorola is offering a deal for UK customers. The Motorola Moto X smartphone can be purchased with a £60 discount on the original price. Interested buyers should rush to make an order because this deal is a limited offer and will only be available until stocks last. The caveat, however, is that no buyer can purchase more than two Moto 360 smartwatches, reports Huffington Post.

It is worth noting that the Moto 360 is among the early adopters to run Google's brand new Android Wear operating system. The stand-out features of the Moto 360 include the all-metal design and the round face, instead of the ubiquitous square/rectangle display. The device also has the recent software update to Android Wear OS, which is the inclusion of offline music functionality. In addition, the update also brings in some of the much-required features that make the smartwatch less dependent on the paired smartphone. Like in the case of jogging, users can forget their smartphones at home and rely completely on the Android Wear based Moto 360. Since it comes with route, distance and speed tracking, along with the aforementioned offline music play via the smartwatch.

Furthermore, Motorola is planning to offer the Moto 360 watch in all-metal champagne gold colour. Apparently, this variant was spotted in Amazon recently with options of 18 mm and 23 mm strap variants. The point to be noted is that, along with the strap, the entire smartwatch including the watch's dial/face is also made of gold coloured material. Since Amazon disclosed the model by mistake, the page has now been taken down, says Phone Arena.

If reports are true, other than the gold Moto 360, there is also a new variant with silver body and brown leather strap in the offing. This shade is reportedly dubbed as "cognac." The champagne gold Moto 360 will set the buyers back by $299, whereas the cognac coloured version will be priced at $250. Nonetheless, the company has not revealed the release date of these interestingly coloured devices as yet.

Key specifications of the Moto 360 include a 1.56-inch LCD touch screen complemented by 320 x 290 pixels resolution and protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3. This combination trickles down to a pixel density of 205 ppi. This Moto smartwatch can integrate/pair with smartphones running on Android 4.3 OS or higher.

Plus, this gear features a pedometer, a heart rate monitor and a light sensor. It is IP67 certified, so it is dust- and water-resistant. But the gadget cannot be used when swimming, diving or involving in under-water activities. Most importantly, the battery unit can survive a day-long activity without a recharge. Lastly, the device provides 4 GB of in-built storage and comes with 512 MB of RAM.
