New BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 With Sapphire Glass Camera Lens, 4G LTE And NFC Support To Release In October
Only last week there was a leak pertaining to BlackBerry Classic (aka Q20) showcasing the device like never-before. However now, we have information on the upcoming BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 smartphone. This goes on to prove that, BlackBerry is back to where it belongs and fans have a reason or two to smile. Not to forget the upcoming BlackBerry Passport phablet with square design and QWERTY keyboard.
The BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 made some noise back in August. But now, BlackBerry has officially announced the Porsche Design P'9983 handset, which would be replacing the Porsche Design P'9982 released in 2013, reports GSM Arena.
When it comes to specifications, the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 smartphone with QWERTY keyboard features a 3.1-inch display and 720 x 720 pixels resolution. The device is powered by an inferior dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus) processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 225 for graphics. The phone is backed by a good 2 GB of RAM and runs on BlackBerry OS 10.3.
The Porsche Design P'9983 sports a good 8 MP rear-facing camera unit and a 2 MP front-facing snapper. As far as the memory goes, the device comes equipped with 64 GB of internal storage and supports microSD card for further expansion. Apart from the standard connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi (802.11n), FM radio and GPS, the phone also supports NFC and 4G LTE.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a solid 2,100 mAh battery unit. Speaking of size, the BlackBerry P'9983 comes with a thickness of 10.6 mm and weighs 140 g. The phone comes with premium looking exterior complimented by sapphire glass usage on the camera lens. Also, the handset features a forged stainless-steel Porsche logo and structure, along with a one-of-a-kind glass-weave technology specific to back door, says BlackBerry's site.
The device kit consists of premium stereo headphone, a universal charger, USB cable and a unique polishing cloth. BlackBerry will also offer accessories like rear shells of different colours (yellow, blue green, dark brown, pomegranate, paloma grey, salsa, blue and orange) and also of notable Italian leather.
Furthermore, the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9983 will be released in the beginning of October. The device can be availed from Porsche Design stores and also from certain retailer and carrier outlets across the globe.
