New Rhythm Game ‘Viking Remix Madness’ Features Vikings, Cthulu and Poo
What happens when a rhythm game is mixed with an endless runner? The answer seems to be a mobile title called “Viking Remix Madness” from Ferver Studios. This upcoming rhythm mobile game will attempt to mix classic rhythm based gameplay, with the obstacles and challenges that are usually present in an infinite runner.
As far as gameplay goes, that hasn’t bee completely defined as of yet, but judging from the video below, it appears that players will have to tap with the rhythm so that the Vikings will continue rowing their boat at a steady pace. The game also requires the crew to row, as far away from something as possible, so it appears that something could be chasing the crew of Vikings.
To keep things more interesting, the Vikings will have to contend with a bunch of challenges like bird poo, giant waves, heavy rain and Cthulu, though they seem to be more like distractions then actual threats. Pocket Gamer states that all the amazing things that will be happening on screen are meant to distract the player from tapping in rhythm correctly, which could be considered a smart and intriguing challenge.
What’s currently unknown is if players will be able to rid themselves of these distractions. There’s a good possibility that the player might just have to endure all the bird poo and Cthulu sightings, since the game is part endless runner, though details in that regard are currently slim.
On an interesting note, players will be able to customise the Vikings to their liking. After a certain amount of points have been achieved, players can give the Vikings a good number of accessories like sun glasses, hats, earphones and even hooks for hands to make them look more like pirates. This would make the bird poo effect even more hilarious.
No release date has been given for "Viking Remix Madness," though the title is currently being worked on for iOS devices. Anyone curious about the game can check out the website of Ferver Studios and take a gander at the trailer and the numerous screenshots available to get a good feel of the game.
