New ‘Star Wars Battlefront’ footage reveals a massive battle
“Star Wars Battlefront” is nearing its November launch and developer DICE is keen on rolling out trailers to tease players on what awaits them in the full game. New gameplay footage for Electronic Art’s upcoming “Star Wars” title has emerged and it shows off a lot of the game’s features.
The gameplay footage seen below is a preview of what the game looks like on closed alpha for the PC. The graphics on the game looks sharp and crisp, and it looks like the footage is coming from a PC running on the maximum settings for the game. To fully see how the game looks on the maximum settings, it is advised to toggle the 1080p/60fps option for the video.
The new gameplay footage showcases a massive battle on “Star Wars Battlefront.” The battle takes place on the snowy world of Hoth and the game mode is a 20 versus 20 Walker Assault mode. The 10-minute video shows off several of the game’s menus including the weapons and player rankings menu. The video also provides players with an in-depth look at the player HUD.
Forbes reports that the game is an epic take on the franchise. What makes the game better than previous titles is the maps in the game. The maps are highly detailed and rendered, and the inclusion of huge land and aerial vehicles make the experience more authentic.
This footage is likely released to accompany the pre-order for the “Star Wars Battlefront” themed Playstation 4 which was made available last Sept. 11. The special edition PlayStation 4 will sport a Darth Vader stencil for the console and it will ship with a few other “Star Wars” games aside from Battlefront, Gamespot reports.
“Star Wars Battlefront” launches this coming Nov. 17 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. However, players can get an early hands-on experience of the game with an open beta to be held on all platforms. The open beta will give players a spin on some game modes including the Walker Assault on Hoth, one Survival mission set on Tatooine and the new Drop Zone mode.
