New X-Factor Judge Rita Ora Not Joining The Show For Money
Rita Ora reportedly did not join “X-Factor” as a new judge for the money. A source has spoken up in behalf of the singer against the recent rumours that she joined the show not for credibility reasons.
Recent rumours claimed Rita Ora moved from “The Voice” to “X-Factor” because she was offered £1.5million to join Nick Grimshaw as one of the show’s new judge. However, the singer has reportedly insisted and told her friends that she has decided to join “X-Factor” not because of the money. Rita is said to be very angry at the accusations claiming she chose the money over credibility.
“Rita is adamant she is not moving for money,” the source said. According to UK’s OK Magazine, the source believed to be close to the singer claimed Rita “is angry and insistent that she started as a guest judge on The X Factor and is going home.”
The source added that if money was the reason for her accepting the deal with “X-Factor” instead of “The Voice,” then “she wouldn’t be on the show and would be going around the world making millions from endorsements and more live performances.”
Despite the false accusations, Rita Ora couldn’t be happier to return to the show where she had a chance to be a guest judge in 2012. She expressed her excitement to be back but this time as the show’s full-time judge. “This is a journey I can't wait to embark on to find some talented singers,” she said.
According to Mirror UK, Rita Ora must feel awkward to have been offered as full-time “X-Factor” judge after she reportedly threw some shade at the show by comparing “X-Factor” to “The Voice.” Speaking to the press ahead of her debut as judge on “The Voice,” Rita Ora said, “I don't know how X Factor works, I was only there as a guest judge for a day.” She later on explained that she joined “The Voice” because of its high respect levels and since it is well received by other artists.
Her comments then about “X-Factor” reportedly contradicted her statements after learning she will be the show’s new judge. Rita Ora said she had “a ball” as guest judge in the show in 2012.
