Rumours are again swirling that HTC One will release its next-generation model in March with a bigger screen and better camera.

CNET said the next-gen unit would likely have 5 inches or larger screen and a Snapdragon 800 or 805 processor to make the smartphone run faster.

To be codenamed M8, the phone rear ultrapixel camera would have twin sensors for better focus, depth of field and overall better image quality. Other specs include 3GB RAM, a fingerprint reader similar to Apple iPhone 5S and the unibody metal housing that HTC One gained notice in the tech world in 2013.

Buyers would have the option of a 16GB or 32GB onboard memory that can be expanded through a microSD card slot on top of 50 GB of additional storage option for free on Google Drive.

It would run on Android 4.4 KitKat and the latest version of HTC Sense.

The March roll-out, if it would happen, would be just five months after HTC launched the One Max in November 2013. The model featured a 5.9-inch screen from the previous 4.7-inch screen of the HTC One.

Despite the recent release of the One Max and start of sales to China Mobile, HTC logged its second straight quarterly operating loss.
