The US-based carrier MetroPCS currently offers customers a really low price deal for the Nokia Lumia 521 smartphone. The Windows Phone handset was given a price tag of only $29, tax not included, but the device enthusiasts interested in getting their hands on the device must be an existing MetroPCS subscriber or simply change from their current carrier.

According to the Phones Review report, MetroPCS has initially priced the Nokia Lumia 521 at $99 but it was lowered down to $49 after declaring a price discount. To purchase the MetroPCS Nokia Lumia 521 smartphone, customers must pay $49 first and then the $20 mail-in rebate price follows so the final price on the device will be only $29.

The mail-in rebate form confirms that the $29 price deal for the Nokia Lumia 521 at MetroPCS will end on April 29. Check the low price deal for the Nokia Lumia 521 at the MetroPCS Web site. Other carriers or retail stores that offer the Finnish device include T-Mobile where it can be purchased at $102 full price. T-Mobile offers the $0 up-front deal for the Nokia Lumia 521 given that the customer will pay $4.25 for 20 months.

In the online Microsoft Store, the Nokia handset sells at the discounted price of $69 with the offer of free shipping and returns. With Amazon.com, the Nokia Lumia 521 is available at $79.99 price after the 47% discount from its initial $149.99 price tag.

The Nokia Lumia 521 smartphone features and specs include the 4-inch Super Sensitive touch screen display with 800x480p resolution, a 1GHz dual-core processor, Windows Phone 8 operating system, 512MB of RAM and 8GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded to an additional 64GB capacity through the available microSD card slot. The Tell Me News report points out that the 512MB of RAM in the Nokia Lumia 521 limits the user's access to the apps available at the Windows Phone store and the carrier may not be a good option for its network strength and connectivity.

Other features and specs of the Nokia handset with the $29 MetroPCS price are the 5MP rear-facing camera with 720p resolution on HD video recording, 4G, Wi-Fi connectivity and calling support and a 1430mAh battery.
