OnePlus 2 To Take On iPhone 6S, Galaxy Note 5 With Killer Features Like Duo Camera, 4 GB RAM, Metal Build
OnePlus is confirmed to launch on July 27. There are many flagships such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and more that are expected to release later this year. The OnePlus 2 with killer specs onboard is going to take one on the some of the most popular flagships of 2015.
As the launch date of OnePlus 2 is getting closer, more and more details on the flagship is pouring out. According to G for Games, the OnePlus CEO, Liu Zuohu hinted on Weibo (a Chinese social networking site) that the OnePlus 2 will be sporting a full metal build.
Recently, a GFX Bench listing of OnePlus 2 with model number A2003 was spotted. It revealed that the handset was featuring a Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The SD 810 chip recorded a clocking speed of 1.55 GHz through its 64-bit octa-core processor.
It is interesting to know that the OnePlus 2 may come in different versions as Droid-Life has reported that model numbers A2001, A2002 and A2003 were confirmed by Bluetooth SIG certification body. As of this writing, it is unclear what features or specifications will set these models apart. Droid-Life is of the view that the three models will come with different native storage options or back cover versions.
Business Insider has published a sketch of the rear side of the OnePlus 2. It reveals that there is a duo camera system placed just above the fingerprint scanner. The source claims that the handset will be housing an 8 MP selfie camera.
The sketches also show that the OnePlus 2 will be showcasing a chassis made of metal and glass. However, the design of the OnePlus 2 will be quite similar to that of the older model. The stainless steel bottom will be featuring a USB Type C connector, a feature that is confirmed by OnePlus.
Rumors have it that OnePlus 2 will come with a 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch display. As of this writing, OnePlus has not confirmed on different models of OnePlus 2. Also, it has not released any information on its display, camera setup and RAM.
