Now that "Plants vs. Zombies 2" is now available as a free-to-play on the iOS, many fans have turned to PopCap Games in hopes of any news regarding possible releases of the game in other platforms.

"We don't have any news about other platforms yet, but stay tuned!," according to the "Plants vs. Zombies'" official Twitter page.

But the other question would be, once PopCap rolls out the update, what new worlds are we looking to be added to the game? In one of the developer diaries, it was hinted that there will be more worlds to be added once players finish the three currently unlocked worlds, Ancient Egypt, Pirate Seas and Wild West.

Also, what would be interesting to find out would be if the upcoming new worlds that will be introduced in the update will still be free-to-play or if adding new worlds will mean having to shell out money this time around.

Fans Share Some Technical Frustrations

Some of the fans and players of the game have already taken to PopCap's forums online to report some of the bugs and technical problems that they have been experiencing since the release.

One thread talked about the need for a front-facing camera, which does not work for the older versions of Apple products like the iPod Touch and the iPad.

"I have the original (iPad) that apparently doesn't have a front facing camera, and certainly can't afford to go out and buy a newer one (much as I would like to). This is the first time I've ever been unable to get a game, especially one that I have so eagerly been awaiting," MSmeriglio wrote.

Others have also experienced it, but one forum member, who goes by the name action, said that the fast solution to this problem is jailbreaking the phone. After jailbreaking the iPad, you can download the game via iTunes and install it via iFunbox.

"Why game makers are pushing us to put to jailbreak instead of the other way around to help us. I for example do not want to put JB on your iPad. BUT I've been waiting for the second part of the PVZ."

Bug Fixes Coming?

Another issue that seemed to be plaguing a lot of gamers involves crashes, some of which don't allow progress beyond a certain point.

Bernd Busch reported encountering this difficulty after Pirate Seas, Day 2. "While playing the German version, the game crashes after finishing day 2." The user noted that the green grass that serves as the pathway only advances to the Snapdragon and will not allow for the next level to open.

Others, like Alessandro Pegurri, encountered the bug as early as the third level of Ancient Egypt, where the rolling grass is said to be stuck in a junction.

"I tried to uninstal[l] the game, to start a new game and to delete the profil[e] but nothing seemed to work: the bug always reappears at the same moment and with the same mechanics."

For now, PopCap_Dana, the PopCap Ambassador, replied to this particular bug report.

"We have received reports of these issues through Customer Support (http://support.popcap.com/pvz2) and are of course investigating. If you have not yet contacted Support, please feel free to do so in order to provide Crash Logs to aid in our investigation. Otherwise, rest assured the matter is being looked into, and a solution will be made available as soon as possible."

It seemed that PopCap Games will be busy once more in creating and rolling out the bug fixes, but on the whole, the game is worth waiting for these fixes. Do you have any technical difficulties with PopCap Games' "Plants vs. Zombies 2"?
