‘Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’ Confirmed With Demo, More Info Revealed
A new legendary, Rayquaza, has recently been revealed for "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire." It seems that the Pokemon Company and developers are now aiming to give more information about the new legendary and the other revealed mega evolutions.
In an update from Serebii, a poster has been spotted or a special anime titled "The Strongest Mega Evolution, Act 2." Slated to air in Japan on Nov. 6, this special will be looking at the Hoenn region along with encounters with different Mega Evolutions.
Given that "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" will reportedly look into the secrets of mega evolutions, this special may serve as further clue of what to expect with the upcoming title. Not to mention that Rayquaza, the legendary Pokemon revealed for "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire," will also be appearing in the special. Check out the poster in the link above, which features Rayquaza appears to dominate the scene.
Over at the official "Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" website, a few more details have also been revealed on the Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. The abilities of the two Pokemons have been briefly touched on in the recently released trailer, but the Pokemon Company has given a few more details as to what these abilities can do.
For instance, Primal Groudon's Desolate Land Ability is said to bring extremely harsh sunlight. This is the same as bringing Drought Ability to other Pokemons, so that the Rain Dance, Sunny Day, Sandstorm and Hail moves will not become effective against it. The only difference that the Desolate Land Ability will have compared to those like the Sand Stream, Snow Warning, Drought and Drizzle abilities is that Primal Groudon's ability will only last while the Pokemon is in battle.
Primal Kyogre's Primordial Sea Ability will bring the opposite of Primal Groudon, which means you can have heavy rains. Other moves to change the weather will not activate while Primal Kyogre's ability is in place, and any fire-type attacks against it will not be effective. The mechanics for how long the ability will last is the same as Primal Groudon's so you have to keep Primal Kyogre in battle if you want heavy rains to continue.
"Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" is expected to launch on Nov. 21. According to GameSpot, a demo for the title has been teased. While this has been confirmed for Japan, there is still talk on whether it will be released for other regions. The release date for the demo has not yet been specified, though the report mentioned that Nintendo has teased it to be "soon." Meanwhile, here's the latest trailer released from the Pokemon Company featuring the newest Mega Evolutions and legendary.
