For the most part, all that's really known about "Battlefield Hardline" is how it's going to be a break from previous iterations as it will be focusing on a cops and criminals theme. But everything else seems to be a blur that has been overshadowed by many multiplayer modes and beta tests, without further going into detail about the single-player campaign.

As such, PlayStation Blog has gotten in touch with Steve Anthony, senior producer of the game, to shed light on what fans can expect on the single-player end of the title. First off, Anthony reveals that the single-player campaign aims to put the influence of TV crime dramas into an episodic format.

"That means each episode of the campaign will have character development, intense moments and cliff hanging endings," Anthony said to PlayStation Blog.

And what better way to do this than to bring in Hollywood's finest, from the writers to the actors, and have them helm the development of the campaign. According to the source, Visceral Games has tapped the likes of Benito Martinez of "The Shield" and "Sons of Anarchy," Wendy Calhoun of "Justified" and Bill Johnson of "The West Wing."

But more than the influence of people's favourite crime dramas, Visceral Games is also looking at putting choice and tactics at the front seat instead of going only with adrenaline and action for "Battlefield Hardline."

While the fans are now anticipating "Battlefield Hardline," DICE has not yet dropped the 2013 title, "Battlefield 4." In fact, the final expansion pack in the Season Pass, titled Final Stand, has already been rumoured and leaked to have a few key features that are surprising for the DLC.

MP1st has spotted a video posted by developer DICE on Facebook, which has already been taken down as of this writing, and it shows some clips and stills of what appears to be a futuristic approach for the Last Stand DLC. The report adds that it's a map that is very reminiscent of "Battlefield: 2142."

The developer may be planning a release for more details of the upcoming "Battlefield 4" DLC, though no specific dates have been given for launch. In the meantime, check out some screenshots of the Final Stand DLC in the link above.
