PS4 Details PlayStation Now and Gaikai; New Intercooler and DualShock 4 Battery Extender; PS Plus Free Games to Catch
It didn't take long for Sony to roll out its numbers after Microsoft boasted an easy 1 million rise in sales ranks in just over a month with the Xbox One.
Now, the PS4 stands above the Xbox One with 4.2 million sales by the end of 2013, beating the 3 million number easy with almost a double in the sales over the holiday season. The first time that Sony has released the numbers of the PS4, the sales totaled to 2 million during the time of the launch.
But more than the numbers, Sony has also unveiled its Steaming Games Service at the CES 2014. What used to be called the Gaikai is now touted as PlayStation Now, and it will let users stream PlayStation 2 games onto to the PS4. PS3 games are also included as a way to deal with the issue of backwards compatibility on the PS4.
*"Saints Row 4's" Anime Pack DLC is all ready so players can dress their characters in style. More DLC news here featuring "Battlefield 4" and "Defiance."
While this sounds great, Time reports that the streaming requires going live in the cloud, with the game performance highly likely to be affected by the Internet speed and stability of every gamer.
For players whose Internet speed is not a big deal for them, the even better news is that the different games can also be streamed to mobile and smart devices. The next step here would be for Sony to announce the details of PlayStation Now and how exactly it will function for the rest of the world who don't have the powerhouse network backing up its demos in every house.

PS4 Intercooler and DualShock 4 Extended Battery Unveiled
Avid gamers will be happy to know that there's a way to keep playing longer on the PS4, thanks to Nyko's newly unveiled devices at the CES 2014.
Alongside a wireless charging dock for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Nexus 5, Nyko also released an Intercooler for the PS4 so that it will not go to dangerous levels of overheating while players go overtime.
Engadget adds that along with this, players can also get the PowerPak, which is a replacement battery for the DualShock 4. It's a 1,000-mAh cell battery that's said to double the power of the standard battery.

If that's not enough, there's also a second screen solution for the PS4, which is the Smart Clip that attaches itself on the DualShock 4 controller. PlayStation Universe reports that users can then put their smartphone in the Smart Clip and use that as a second screen.
This means gamers can use it to access the PlayStation App or for searching game guides while also playing the PS4.
PS Plus Free Games Coming In and Going Out
The PS Plus will be featuring a number of new additions to the Instant Game Collection. As it says goodbye to "Contrast" as a free game, players can now say hello to the acclaimed "Don't Starve" on the PS4 and "DmC: Devil May Cry" for the PS3.
In addition to this, the Instant Game Collection will also feature either "BioShock Infinite" or "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons" on Jan 14, according to the PlayStation Blog.
