Queen Rania of Jordan shares family portrait ahead of New Year
Queen Rania of Jordan took to Instagram on Monday and shared a family portrait of her family. She shared the official family portrait to usher the New Year.
The picture shows the 45-year-old posing with her husband and four kids in the palace grounds. Rania smiles alongside her husband King Abdullah, 53, and children Crown Prince Hussein, 25, Princess Iman, 19, Princess Salma, 15 and the couple’s youngest child Prince Hashem, 10, Hello reports.
Rania looks elegant in a white and gold dress, which she pairs with a matching jacket. Her long brunette tresses are left loose in centre, parting over her shoulders. Her lookalike daughter Iman is also seen wearing a white dress, while her long blonde hair is left loose in waves over her shoulders.
“Excited to be starting the New Year countdown! With 10 days to go until the end of the year, I am happy to share our family picture for 2016,” Rania captioned the photograph. The family is all set to celebrate Abdullah and Hashem’s birthday in January 2016.
The royal household will celebrate both the birthdays on Jan. 30. While the monarch will ring in his 54th birthday, the youngest son of the royal couple will turn 11. On Jan. 30 this year, Rania shared a photo with her followers on Instagram. It showed the father and son duo blowing out the candles on the chocolate cake together, People reports.
In September, the Queen celebrated her 45th birthday. To celebrate the epoch making birthday, her personal photographer compiled an e-book of never-before-seen pictures of the Jordanian royal. The personal pictures were shared exclusively with Hello magazine.
The mother-of-four is among one of the first royals to have set up her own Instagram and Twitter accounts. Rania keeps her followers regularly updated with her charity work and glimpses from her personal life, her husband and kids.
In June, Abdullah and Rania celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. On the occasion, she took to Instagram and shared a picture of her and husband sharing a light moment.
