Render leak indicates Samsung Galaxy S7 to have larger display than Samsung Note
This flagship smartphone will come in two models
Recent render leaks of the Samsung Galaxy S7 reveal this flagship smartphone will come in two models. One of the models measures 143.37 mm x 70.8 mm x 6.94 mm, which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 footprint. The other handset will be smaller in size at 163.32 mm x 82.01 mm x 7.82 mm.
Samsung apparently designed the device in keeping with current trends, but it still came as a big surprise. It’s uncertain if the Samsung Edge will be re-designed, however.
But the Samsung Note series does seem small in size compared to the 6.0-inch Galaxy S7 handset. For three generations, the Samsung Note series had a consistent size of 5.7-inches.
A larger screen makes more sense considering the latest trends. The renders claim the Galaxy S7’s features will be a lot similar to the Galaxy S6. Interestingly, Samsung scrapped the traditional round shaped home button for a rectangular alternative. The company also moved the SIM card slot to the side.
According to earlier reports, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 variant, and an Exynos 8890, which was Samsung's flagships standard SoC before the Snapdragon 810 overheating fiasco.
