‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ minimum PC requirements revealed; pre-purchase bonuses include free copy of ‘Tomb Raider’
Crystal Dynamics’ next entry in the rebooted “Tomb Raider” series hit the Xbox One last year, and the PC port is coming this Jan. 28 on Steam, with preorders available now. The game's minimum requirements have been revealed, and those looking to play it on the PC should be aware that “Rise of the Tomb Raider” is a visually stunning game, which means their PCs should be ready when it launches.
“Rise of the Tomb Raider” will require PCs to run on at least Intel Core i3-2100 or its AMD equivalent. As for the graphics card, players will need to at least have an NVIDIA GTX 650 2GB or AMD HD7770 2GB, and the DirectX should be version 11. It will take up to 25 GB of space and will need at least 6 GB or RAM.
PC Gamer reports that for a visually stunning game, the requirements aren’t that demanding, but PC players are still recommended to have above average specs. Though the minimum requirements have been revealed, the recommended specs have not yet been announced. Players should keep in mind that running the game on the minimum settings will reduce several visual aspects of “Rise of the Tomb Raider.”
Meanwhile, “Rise of the Tomb Raider” is now available for preorders on Steam. Players have the option to buy the standard edition, which includes the game only, or they could opt to buy the digital deluxe edition that comes with a season pass. Players could also purchase the season pass separately.
Steam is also offering an incentive to those who pre-purchase “Rise of the Tomb Raider.” Pre-purchasing the game will reward players with exclusive skins and skills to use during their playthrough. Additionally, players will also be given a free copy of 2013’s “Tomb Raider” for pre-purchasing.
