If Robert Pattinson had had his way, the British hunk would still be dating his equally famous girlfriend, Kristen Stewart. The actor has been set out from the beginning to love the Runaway star for the rest of his life. If only Kristen did not want more than he could offer.

A source told OK! Magazine that the couple’s second split has not also been easy for Robert. If Kristen has recently been public and out and about with friends in Los Feliz area following their split, Rob has opted to be by himself. The last sighting of the star after he moved out of K-Stew’s home was last week of May when he was spotted with Katy Perry allegedly crashing a wedding rehearsal in a garden in Sta. Barbara - - the place where Katy grew up.

Noting that Rob may have been decided to end the Robsten Romance for the second time, but the decision did not come easy for the Cosmopolis star.

''Rob has been a mess. He's the one that ultimately pulled the plug, but that doesn't mean it's any easier on him,” a source close to Rob was quoted as telling OK! by Contact Music.

“If Rob had got his way they would still be dating but taking things slow,” added the source.

Rob’s friend said that he felt compelled that leaving Kristen would be the easier way out, resulting from the actress’s demands.

“Kristen wanted to go straight back to where they'd been before they first split up and pushed Rob really hard on it. She wanted the whole package: the house, the wedding and even the baby,” the source told OK!

But apparently, “it was all way too much for Rob to handle.”

He took the easy way out. Kristen was furious.

The source added, ''Rob asked for space and it sent her over the edge. She told him if he wanted a break, it would be permanent.''

Rob left. Kristen pleaded him to stay. He never looked back.
