Roger Federer seems to be enjoying his time off playing tournaments. Federer, who skipped the 2015 Miami Open, recently shared a snap of him in the snow while holding a racket and a snowball to his more than two million followers on Twitter

The 17-time Swiss grand slam champion was pictured chilling out in the snow and wearing the Basel Football Club scarf. He captioned the photo “Just practicing some Tennice.”

Federer last played at the 2015 BNP Paribas Open, where he made history after making his sixth finals appearance in the tournament. Federer now holds the record of the most singles finals with six (2004, 2005, 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2015). Federer, who is a four-time champion in Indian Wells, fell to Novak Djokovic in the final after a three-setter match 6-3 6-7(5) 6-2.

Following his Indian Wells defeat, Federer announced that he will not be taking part at the 2015 Miami Open so he can train and get ready for the upcoming clay season. He said that his goal is to train for the next few weeks and retreat to his native Switzerland.

“It’s key for me to get in great shape for the clay court season and the grass court season,” Federer told ATPworldtour.com. “I’m actually looking forward to that and spending time in Switzerland.”

Federer’s Next Tournament - Monte Carlo Masters

Federer will play next at the 2015 Monte Carlo Masters, where he is a four-time finalist. According to a statement released on the tournament’s official website, Federer and defending champion fellow compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka will both be attendance during the draw ceremony that is set to take place at the Yacht Club de Monaco on April 11.

This year marks the 109th edition of the Monte Carlo Masters featuring the top players in the Association of Tennis Professonals’ world rankings including Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Milos Raonic, Marin Cilic, Grigor Dimitrov, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Gilles Simon, Richard Gasquet, Julien Benneteau and Jeremy Chardy. The tournament will kick off on April 11 and conclude on April 19.
