Despite being absent from the Golden Globes, Gosling still had an effect over the Hollywood crowd - on television and all over social networking sites.

A few fans raged over his absence then and now fans are getting more aggravated about Gosling being snubbed by the Academy. What does Ryan Gosling have to say in all this hype?

A lot of sources claimed the Oscars to be a hunk-filled fest but the stories were only half true when the nominees for the Oscars were announced last Tuesday.

"Hunger Games" star and Oscar-nominee of last year, Jennifer Lawrence, took to the stage alongside Academy President, Tom Sherak, to announce the highly-anticipated nominees. If the original rumors claiming hunks, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Gosling, would make it to the nominees, only two managed to squeeze into the list.

Both George Clooney & Brad Pitt were nominated for the Oscar Award for Actor in a Leading Role. Brad Pitt's co-star in the film "Moneyball", Jonah Hill, surprisingly earned a nod for the category of Actor in a Supporting Role. The complete list of nominees for the Oscars may be found here.

So Gosling got snubbed by the Academy, big deal? Yet, it was a big deal for his fans, of which includes a well-known Hollywood actor, Russell Crowe. "Gladiator" star, Russell, took to Twitter to express his disdain over Gosling not being nominated and calling it complete bull***t.

Gosling not only lost the title for "Sexiest Man Alive" to Bradley Cooper but the handsome actor also gets snubbed by the Academy.

If his fans are in a rage over all that's happened, what has he got to say? Apparently, the actor is a bit too busy with his Muay Thai training that he doesn't bother much about the news lately. Wait, Muay Thai? Yes, you've read that right. Ryan is said to be in Bangkok currently filming a Thai film, "Only God Forgives", with director Nicolas Winding Refn and it's obvious he's enjoying it.

"It's sparring basically. They don't really use weights. Nicolas is doing it as well," shared Ryan.

"It's very hard. They have people training around me and they could all beat me up," he jokingly added. As for his thoughts if he was indeed snubbed by the Academy, Ryan Gosling simply answers with a simple "no."

Well, he only has just begun and despite all the praise for his performance in the films, "Drive" and "Ides of March", Gosling is still yet to make waves in Hollywood. So his turn for the Oscars might still be a longer wait.
