Samsung Galaxy S5, presumably the next generation Samsung flagship smartphone, could be launch at a London event in mid-March, according to Flavio, an Italian journalist.

This reliable source said Samsung is set to hold a "global launch" of the Galaxy S5 in two months. At a quick glance, this report is believable given that Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 in New York City last year and Samsung appears to be steering away from the crowded Mobile World Congress.

"Samsung to hold its next Global launch (S5?) event in London in a mid March date, a reliable source confirmed me," Flavio said from Twitter @flapic.

This latest rumor came after the launch date reports for the Galaxy S5, which include MWC 2014 and this month. The launch expected at the Mobile World Congress 2014 that will happen in Barcelona, Spain didn't seem likely to push through as Samsung has not launched a flagship device at the MWC since the Galaxy S2.

Samsung did not drop any hints about the location and release date of the next generation Samsung flagship smartphone yet. It is still pretty soon to be sure about a specific date at this point but once the invites from Samsung starts coming in, we will know for sure.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S5 is rumored to take the design path of its fans as the handset is expected to feature a metal chassis and 2K display. In terms of specs, the Galaxy S5 is reported to feature an iris scanning technology and Samsung announced that it desires to return similar approach that it took with the Galaxy S3.

Back when the Galaxy S4 was released, many fans believed that it was too similar with its predecessor and Samsung wants the Galaxy S5 to feature a new design with a metal body this time. Also, the Galaxy S5 is rumored to launch alongside the next generation Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
