A new report confirms that Gwendoline Christie’s character in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is Captain Phasma. The report also confirms some of the previous spoilers regarding the character played by Lupita Nyong’o. [Spoiler Alert]

New images from the production sets of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” have surfaced online. One of the images posted on VanityFair is of a character called Captain Phasma. The character is a Chrometrooper with a black cape that the fans of the franchise may have seen in the second official trailer of the movie.

A report by MakingStarWars now confirms that the character is indeed played by the actress Gwendoline Christie. The Chrometroopers have not featured in any of the previous movies from the franchise, and viewers will get to see the new set of troops in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” for the very first time.

A report by IndieRevolver also confirms that Gwendoline Christie will be playing the Chrometrooper in the movie. The report also talks about the previous spoilers about Lupita Nyong’o’s motion capture character being accurate. A behind-the-scenes image of the actress filming a scene for her character can be seen in the report.

Lupita Nyong’o’s character was apparently codenamed “Rose.” A previous report by MakingStarWars describes the character as a blue alien who joins the characters Rey and Finn in their quest to find Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

According to the report, Finn and Rey meet Princess Leia at a rebel base on a desert planet. Leia directs them to meet an “elder alien” who knew Luke Skywalker, just before he went missing. The two characters later meet the young blue alien who is said to be with them till the end of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

All the concept arts of Lupita’s character in the movie supposedly describe her serving food at an establishment in an “exotic city.” The character is speculated to either be an owner of the establishment or a server at the bar.

The report also suggests that the blue alien will be present when a cyborg character embraces Rey at a catacombs set. The character is also said to get her own room at a rebel base towards the end of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The character will play an important role in future movies and be a companion to the heroes, the same way Chewbacca was in the original trilogy and Jar Jar Binks was in the prequel movies, according to the report.
