‘Suicide Squad' Recent Set Photos Reveal Margot Robbie, Will Smith Getting 'Steamy'
More set photos have emerged online as production continues for “Suicide Squad” in Toronto, Canada. This time Will Smith’s Deadshot and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn are spotted performing some scenes above a car.
Filming for “Suicide Squad” reportedly got “steamy” for Will Smith and Margot Robbie as the pair was spotted getting close to one another on set. The first photo shared by Comicbookmovie shows Will Smith in his Deadshot costume carrying a Harley Quinn-dressed Margot Robbie in his arms. According to the site, both casts were also “getting pretty close” not just during filming but also “in-between takes” as seen on yet another set photo.
Just Jared shared a few more photos from the “Suicide Squad” set. There’s one shot of Margot Robbie looking rather wet as she walks with her bat slung over her shoulder. Comicbookmovie also compiled a series of photos which seem to suggest that Harley Quinn will be injured at some point in the film. Will Smith’s Deadshot could be seen ever gently putting her down on a hood of a parked car. There’s also another set photo of Margot Robbie walking under the rain with fellow “Suicide Squad” cast Jay Hernandez, who plays as El Diablo.
Margot Robbie’s first official look as Harley Quinn received praises from fans. According to Entertainment Online, the Australian actress not only looks “badass” in her character costume, but she also looks “delightfully frightening.” Harley Quinn co-creator Bruce Timm also only has nice words to say about the actress’ look. “So far so good,” he said when Io9 asked for his comment on the actress’ take on the DC character.
Mirror UK also noted how Margot Robbie’s boyfriend, Tom Ackerley, was “taken aback” when he saw the actress on set. Ackerley reportedly visited her girlfriend during filming and was surprised to see her complete transformation as Harley Quinn.
Meanwhile, fans also complimented Will Smith’s full costume as Deadshot. Movie director David Ayer shared a photo of the character’s look on his Twitter page on May 4. Users commented how the actor’s version of Deadshot for “Suicide Squad” looks like it’s been “ripped right out of the comics.”
