Electronic Arts has announced a DLC pack for the game priced at $50. Electronic Arts

DICE recently announced three new modes for its flagship sci-fi action game. This includes Hero Hunt, Droid Run and Cargo. The new gameplay modes were revealed today alongside the announcements of the $50 DLC Pass for "Star Wars Battlefront."

The first game mode, Hero Hunt, allows seven players to take on one hero or villain character. If one of those seven characters manage to kill the hero/ villain character, that character will take its place as the hero until he is killed, reported Gameranx. The player that spends the most time as the hero or villain character will be crowned as the winner.

Cargo, the second new mode is Electronic Arts and DICE’s take on Capture the Flag mode, something that is very popular and almost a fundamental aspect in every FPS game’s multiplayer. In this mode, players will spawn at their respective bases where the cargo is located.

The objective of this mode is to steal the enemy’s cargo by making it to their base and then bring it back to the player’s home base. The player’s own cargo doesn’t necessarily have to be present in the home base to capture the enemy’s cargo. Also, scoring in Cargo mode works by earning one point for capturing the enemy’s cargo while the opponent team loses one point. The team with the most points wins after 15 minutes.

The last of the new modes for “Star Wars Battlefront” is Droid Run. It is a six vs. six player game type where the objective is to capture and contain three droids on the map. Players can only accomplish the mission in the span of 10 minutes.

While players can expect help from weapons picked up in the map, DICE revealed via the official website that they should not expect a hand from heroes, villains or vehicles. This mode will test the team's communication and cooperation skills, especially when there is only a small space to go through and quite the player count.

"What's particularly charming with these is that they're all moving and have to be caught before the capture process can start. This creates a more dynamic and action-filled experience," DICE stated as quoted by GameSpot.

“Star Wars: Battlefront” releases on Nov. 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The extended beta access to the game ends on Oct. 13.
