Verizon sells 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for only $99.99 with 2-year contract
Verizon is selling a 32 GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for only $99.99 (AU$142.53). Tech users interested in buying the model, however, will have to avail of this promo as soon as possible since it’s only available for a limited time at Best Buy.
With Apple launching its new flagship smartphones, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung, the Cupertino tech giant's strongest rival, seems to be taking a two-pronged approach when it comes to competing against the 4.7-inch iPhone 6S.
It’s worth noting that the Korean tech company's current flagships, the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6, are two of the best Android smartphones in the market. Each of these devices is expected to give Apple's smartphone a run for its money in terms of features, specs and overall design, as pointed out by Tech Times. Among the two Galaxy devices, however, the curved Galaxy S6 Edge is reportedly getting more attention.
The Galaxy S6 Edge boasts a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED dual edge display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 and a pixel density of 577 pixels per inch. It’s powered by an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and will also feature 32 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM.
The device is also packed with a high-end 16 MP primary rear camera -- one with optical image stabilisation, LED flash and autofocus -- and a 5 MP front camera that can be used for selfies and video chat.
The device runs on Androi 5.0 Lollipop, and Tech Times has confirmed that it will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow pretty soon.
