Xiaomi Has A New Killer Budget Smartphone Under Wraps, Specs Revealed [Leaked Photo Inside]
Xiaomi has a new budget smartphone waiting to get unveiled soon. The information of the unreleased budget phone has been leaked by an executive of China Mobile which is the largest cellular service provider in the world.
The China Mobile executive has revealed a leaked photo along with its specifications on his Weibo account. Gizmo China states that the unannounced Xiaomi budge phone will carry a 4.7-inch screen that will support a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It will be powered by a quad-core Cortex A7 processor that offers a processing speed of 1.6 GHz speed.
The processor of the device is supported by 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 8 GB. The leaked information does not reveal anything on the external storage of the device. However, Gizmo China claims that the handset is likely to feature a microSD slot.
The handset is fitted with an 13 MP camera on the rear with support for full HD recording and single LED whereas its front-facing camera is of 2 MP. The device will be launched with Android 4.4.4 KitKat onboard.
What makes the new Xiaomi budget phone so interesting is that it is not powered by Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset but a Lead LCI LC1860 processor built with 28 nm processing technology. It also features a dual-core Mali T628 graphics. It supports 4G LTE connectivity through Cat. 4 LTE modem that offers a maximum download speed of up t o 150 Mbps.
Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi had proclaimed that the company has no plans to roll out a handset with 399 Yuan ($64) price tag. Hence, Gizmo China feels that the handset will carry a slightly higher price tag. As of this writing, there is no rumour on the product name or the release date of the device.
Xiaomi has not confirmed anything on the leaked information of the aforementioned unreleased budget smartphone. Without mentioning the exact position of the leakster with China Mobile, Gizmo China says that considering his position with the firm, the information seems to be quite legitimate.
