Since the game's release, fans have been looking at the glitches seen in "Assassin's Creed Unity" more and more, as videos, such as the one below, keep popping up to show the title's glitchy gameplay. But at the very least, the outcry of fans who have been expecting a next-gen level game with this instalment were not left unheard.

Ubisoft has already apologised to fans in a statement, with CEO Yanniss Mallat at the helm. "These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential. We've been working hard to fix problem players are reporting, and the patches we have released so far have resolved many of them," said Mallat in a statement as quoted by Tech Times.

But even with that, the source reports that there's more to come for players who have experienced the unpolished gameplay that "Assassin's Creed Unity" offers. The "Assassin's Creed Unity" DLC titled "Dead Kings" will now be offered as a free add-on. Even more than that, those who hold the Season Pass for the title will also get another game from a set selection of Ubisoft titles for free.

The list of Ubisoft games offered for free include the following: "Watch Dogs," "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," "The Crew," "Far Cry 4," "Rayman Legends" and "Just Dance. 2015." Of the selection, old-time gamers may get the best deal with "The Crew," given that Ubisoft has recently announced that the title will not bring the same buggy experience as "Assassin's Creed Unity."

"The Crew" is the next title that will be released by Ubisoft, and Gamerant reports that lead game designer Serkan Hasan has assured fans that it will not have the same problems as those in "Assassin's Creed Unity." Apart from a different team behind the title, it should also be noted that "Far Cry 4" was released only a week after "Assassin's Creed Unity," and yet it turned out to be a pretty neat and polished game.

Ubisoft's free game offer may be its reassurance to fans that "Assassin's Creed Unity" was a one-time thing. It may also be a callout so that fans do not have to worry about future games.

For now, there are a number of patches that have been released for the title, and Eurogamer aims to look at the patch that targeted a lot of bugs. According to the report, there was also the promise of optimisations being done to the game following fixes in general frame-rate for those on the PS4, fixed FPS drops for some scenes, including one where Arno climbs the RHP building, climbing and pressing the Left Stick in some areas, and FPS drops in the Sainte Chapelle.

Overall examination revealed that the general frame rate improvement for the PS4 only made a minor dent in upping the overall gameplay. If anything, it may even need some more work just to be at par with what was delivered for "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag."
