This week, Marvel and DC both have something for gamers, as two titles incorporating the much-loved heroes and villains get new updates and a new edition. Those who are currently enjoying the free-to-play MOBA title "Infinite Crisis" would be happy to know that September is bringing quite the massive update.

And with it comes two new champions joining the roster. Over at the official "Infinite Crisis" website, the developer has detailed the different changes that will be coming with the biggest update to date. According to the developer, there are over 6,000 changes coming to "Infinite Crisis," from UI changes to the training mode.

The full patch notes for the update is detailed in the link above. But there are a few highlights that are bound to make the game even better. For one, new players will have an easier time enjoying the title. All you need to do is complete the six missions that come with the New User Experience to immediately and permanently unlock Gaslight Batman, Wonder Woman, Doomsday, Harley Quinn, Batman and Green Lantern. Those who have already been playing and have already purchased the six champions before the update may get a refund.

There's also an additional sector coming called "Crime Alley." This is in Gotham City's Park Row where Bruce Wayne's parents have met their demise, but it's currently the newest ground where Protectors in "Infinite Crisis" can increase their skill levels.

But best of all, two champions have been unveiled, as mentioned before. These are Nightmare Robin and Atomic Joker. DualShockers reports that Nightmare Robin comes from the fusion of Batman's blood and Talia al Ghul's own, with his creation aimed at destroying Talia's father.

Atomic Joker features Joker's severed head preserved after the post-nuclear period. In a trademark Joker move, his origin story sees him dictating his will to survivors of the nuclear, having them help him preserve his head in order to create a community of crazy.

The other superhero game released this week is "Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes 2.0," which has just been recently released. As the name suggests, this round of "Disney Infinity" characters will feature Marvel superheroes.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the new heroes will include 20 playable Marvel Characters including the cast of "Avengers: and "Guardians of the Galaxy." In addition, the Marvel superheroes will interact with the existing "Disney Infinity" characters.

Beyond the recent release, Marvel is actually planning on releasing more characters from the universe, though there are no announcements yet of which franchise will make the cut. But considering some of the upcoming movies in the Marvel lineup, the movie-franchise approach does make for a good way to sell the characters.
