‘Forza Horizon 2’ v. ‘Driveclub’: Check Out The 15-Minute Gameplay, Unlockable Bonuses And Final Build Footage
The end of September is bringing in the much-awaited "Forza Horizon 2," the Xbox exclusive driving game. Microsoft has announced some new activities that gamers can expect on the launch date.
Major Nelson announced over his blog that starting Sept. 30, there will be a series of retail store activities happening in celebration of the Day 1 and beyond for "Forza Horizon 2." According to the report, launch day will find the first 25 customers to receive a "Forza Horizon 2" gift bag. This means that each of the 104 retail stores of Microsoft in the U.S. Puerto Rico and Canada will pick 25 customers each to give the gift bag. Other select Microsoft stores will also have the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheels for $99.99, though this depend on its availability.
The more competitive players can opt to join gameplay tournaments between Sept. 30 and Oct. 5, as these will be happening in various retail stores. Lastly, those who just want something to commemorate the launch of "Forza Horizon 2" can opt for a custom photo taken at any retail store.
As a sneak peek for those who have yet to get a copy of the title, a 15-minute gameplay has been spotted by DualShockers. The new footage shows off some gameplay scenes, a couple of the cars and a lot of driving, all captured on the Xbox One.
On the other side of the court is the PS4 exclusive racing game, "Driveclub," for which a gameplay footage has also been released. The Sixth Axis has spotted the videos teased by "Driveclub" game director Paul Rustchynsky. The first video, seen in the link above, is a live-action trailer that's more of a teasing spot than a look at the game. The other footage displays all the driving action more.
If the new footage is not enough, Gamepur has also compiled more videos showing off "Driveclub" in its 1080p and 30FPS run on the PS4. In addition, there are some GIFS that have also been captured in 1080p glory, which may just entice you to get a copy if you haven't done so yet.
"Driveclub" is yet to be released come Oct. 7 for North America, Oct. 8 for Europe and Oct. 10 for the U.K. It's expected to have a PS Plus version for free, with upgrade discounts available.
