"GTA 5" DLC is one of the most awaited add-ons for any of the recent games, so far, and it's no wonder that a lot of "GTA 5" players are holding on to any potential data that may point to what the next DLC will be developed by Rockstar Games.

GameRanx has covered the possibility of a North Yankton DLC when theNGClan from GTA Forums has allegedly found some data pointing to the location as a possible DLC.

However, it was also recently found that the modder's claim of a "GTA 5" North Yankton DLC was a hoax, and a very elaborate one at that.

What the Hoax was all About

After some supposed digging, theNGClan claims to have found a number of codes featuring weapons, cut scenes, clothes, radio stations and even new characters in the DLC. The modder even went so far as to post codes on the GTA Forums thread.

In time, some of the participants in the thread have started to look for proof or at least for other people to research and find for themselves what theNGClan had dug up.

One of the people who have strongly showed disbelief in theNGClan was BerginUK, also a participant in the discussion.

"Right now he's [theNGClan] riding the 'wait and see' train. All the while people here are eating it up, talking about characters he has made up as if they're real. He has given away something about his own character in the YouTube video, and that's that the forums are a big part of his life, and he isn't enjoying his own life at the moment, poor fellow."

Other non-believers include xXGst0395Xx. "Even at this point, I don't know what to believe. I'll only be fully convinced once someone else rips the files and shows screenshots with proof," xXGst0395Xx wrote in the forum.

On his profile page, theNGClan has finally admitted to the DLC being a hoax:

"Yes. North Yankton as a DLC was a hoax but with a good purpose... I wanted something to make it alive for a little bit, so I lied about the North Yankton DLC. I'm sorry. It was a bad idea and it let a lot of people down. It would be great for a mod/fanfic though. But alas, all good things come to an end."

theNGclan goes on to talk about how he will likely leave the forum to do something else. The user even admits that he does not have any friends in real life nor does he "have the means to make any."

Still, the admission and the apology was clearly not enough to appease fans who have closely monitored the entire story, and perhaps with good reason. In Reddit, there are already a lot of comments on the incident.

Some have voiced out that they did not believe in the hoax at all, while there are others who say that they are not interested in a "GTA 5" DLC that will take place in North Yankton.

'GTA 5' iFruit App Now Available for Android

A more reliable progress in "GTA 5" is the availability of the iFruit app for Android users. Now you can have the accompanying app for the popular game, part of which includes two main features.

The first is the Los Santos Customs, where you can create your own ultimate vehicle with paint jobs, window tints, smoke colours, wheels and other add-ons. There's also Chop the Dog's training for future use in the console game.

If you train Chop to be a good dog, he can be a helpful pal to Franklin, perform tricks, sniff out some hidden items and even earn him new collars for being a good owner.

Download the app here via Google Play.
