The HTC One in gold colour option is back! The HTC smartphone with the new colour will be arriving soon to compete against the blinged-up rival smartphones like the Apple iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4, according to the PC&Tech Authority report.

This time, HTC will offer the handset just gold-coloured without the 18 carat gold electroplated for the special edition that appeared in October as grand prize for the Best Newcomer Category winner at the 18th anniversary of the MOBO Awards.

In a previous report, Goldgenie has plated the limited HTC One Gold version with 18 carat gold and the MOBO logo etched at the rear side of the device. Five units were completed having more weight of 4 grams compared to the normal HTC One smarphone at a whopping price of £2,750 or approximately US$4400.

HTC announced that the HTC One Gold will arrive soon across Europe with numerous partners. Details on the pricing scheme or exact release date has not yet been confirmed but in the CNET report, the HTC One gold version is expected to cost less than the gold-plated edition with £2,750 price.

Additionally, the HTC One will be joining the new iPhone 5S with the gold-coloured finish to its all-metal case as the devices go on sale from Phones 4u, Carphone Warehouse and Vodafone before Christmas. As for the smartphone's features and specs, the Engadget report claims the HTC One in gold will still have the familiar specifications found in the Taiwanese handset having the silver, black, red and blue colour choices.

It means the device will boast of 4.7-inch Super LCD3 Full HD capacitive touch screen display, 1920x1080p resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, the 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, the power of a non-removable Li-Po 2300mAh battery. Other features and specs incorporated in the HTC handset are the 4MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera with the Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) feature, a 2.1MP front-facing camera, support for the 4G LTE network, Wi-Fi connectivity, Android Jelly Bean operating system, Adreno 320 GPU, HTC Sense 5 UI and the non-expandable internal storage capacities of 32GB or 64GB.
