The HTC One Max phablet is now offered at Verizon with the $299 price on a two-year contract, according to the Android Origin report. The HTC device is being offered worldwide but consumers must be willing to cough up money for the expensive pricing scheme.

Consumers who wish to purchase the HTC One Max without the carrier contract will cost them the outright price of $599. The HTC device can be purchased as well with the Verizon Edge Plan, the company's response to rival carrier T-Mobile's new smartphone subsidy methodology.

The Verizon Edge Plan is set at the $25.22 monthly price for 24 months. For the international offer on the HTC One Max phablet, the device off-contract price is set at $800-$950 depending on the country.

Additionally, the GSMArena report claims Verizon currently works on making another phablet available to their customers and it is the Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phone phablet. The HTC and Nokia devices will join the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that Verizon made available in October with the same $299 price tag.

However, the Verizon Galaxy Note's off-contract price is $100 more expensive compared to the HTC One Max phablet. The HTC One Max is offered in the United Kingdom both on carrier plans and off-contract purchasing at £585 (US$949) price while Telstra Australia made the device exclusively available with the $80 Everyday Connect Plan with an additional cost of $4 monthly for the handset repayment fee.

The HTC One Max phablet features and specs include the 5.9-inch Full HD screen display with 1920x1080p resolution, equipped with the 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.3 operating system, HTC Sense 5.5 UI, 2GB of RAM, the power or a 3300mAh battery and 32GB internal storage capacity. The device also has the UltraPixel camera with f/2.0, 28mm wide angle lens and the available HTC apps such as HTC BlinkFeed where users will not be able to take out from one of the device's homescreens.

Rival carrier Sprint also offers the HTC One Max, beating Verizon in releasing the Android phablet, while AT&T is still busy in making the preparations to finally offer the Taiwanese device to their customers soon.
