World's favorite wizard "Harry Potter" will come to Sony's new peripheral device for Playstation 3.

In the E3 2012, Sony unveiled its new peripheral device for its Playstation 3 game console, Wonderbook, that will bring our favorite storybooks to life. Wonderbook allows players to read the book and participate in the games at the same time.

Wonderbook works with Sony's Playstation Eye and Move motion controller that makes reading more interactive and fun. Wonderbook also uses reality graphics and book-shaped peripheral, which makes the scenes realistic.

Readers or players can act in the story and participate in games and activities as the book progresses. The fun thing is the readers' decisions and actions can affect the outcome of story.

Brilliant British author and creator of well-loved "Harry Potter" series J.K. Rowling worked with Sony in the first release of "The Book of Spells." The book is set in the world of "Harry Potter" where players joined the wizard training at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The players will try to learn the different spells and then cast them using the Playstation Move controller as a wand.

"This is the closest a Muggle can come to a real spellbook. I've loved working with Sony's creative team to bring my spells, and some of the history behind them, to life. This is an extraordinary device that offers a reading experience like no other," said Rowling.

Rowling's "Book of Spells" is only one of the many that Sony is planning to release with the new device. At the pre-E3 conference, the company said that it planning to release fiction novels as well as educational books for the device.

This device will encourage children to read or will enable them to understand the content better. Wonderbook will be released later this year.
