For many people, the holidays are the time of the year to indulge in old childhood traditions. Kim Kardashian took it a little too far by holding a conversation with a girlhood favorite on Twitter.

Kardashian, 31, tweeted Barbie on Christmas night, wishing the doll a happy holidays.

"Merry Christmas Barbs @BarbieStyle! Long time no see! What did Ken get you for Christmas? Miss you doll," the reality star writes on Barbie's official Twitter page.

It didn't take long for the doll to answer her famous fan's tweet.

"Happy Doll-idays [sic] to you too @KimKardashian! See you in 2012?" Barbie answers promptly.

"I'm sure we will be seeing lots of each other! Shopping soon," Kardashian tweets, to close off the conversation.

The Armenian beauty's series of tweets to the toy was met with a Kardashian-worthy round of interest and speculation.

Huffington Post analyzes her seemingly precarious grip on reality saying "it's hard to blame Kardashian for her confusion of real life and 'reality.'"

While reports that the starlet is losing her mind is news outlets, it's more likely that she will be collaborating with Barbie toy company Mattel for a project. Perez Hilton suggests it might be time for an Armenian doll.

It's not the first time Kardashian was caught paying homage to the iconic doll. The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star went blonde for a Barbie-inspired shoot in 2009 with Australian magazine "Kurv" to honor the 50th birthday of the world's most famous doll.

Well-known photographer Tony Duran says he believes Barbie has an "over the top - almost unachievable figure."

"So when the outrageously curvy Kim Kardashian called and said she was going blonde for the week, it was game on," Duran shares.

Aside from conversing with toys, Kardashian enjoyed Christmas with almost the whole clan. They gathered to support brother-in-law baller Lamar Odom as the NBA season opened.

"Watching this @dallasMAVS game with the whole fam! [sic] Let's go @RealLamarOdom!!!!" she tweets.

The reality bombshell shares more about the celebrations of their close-knit family in another tweet as she gushes about their family pajamas that looks "like Santa."
