Japan's Sony Corp is hammering out plans to rise from the ashes of nearly $10 billion lost in six years by building a future around its last consumer electronics blockbuster - the PlayStation. Sony plans to reposition the video console warhorse as a hub for a network of streamed services, according to three senior officials, offering social media, movies and music as well as games. The PS4 2.0 firmware update may still not be concretely announced and detailed with a release date, but that does not mean that Sony is not willing to shed some more light on what's to come. In fact, new information has been given regarding the biggest feature to debut with the PS4. 2.0 firmware update.

Obtained by DualShockers, the PS4 2.0 "Masamune" firmware update will be bringing in Share Play, a feature built into the party chat app. This will allow up to eight people in a party, though players can only use Share Play with one person at a time. All you can do with the other members of the party is to chat amongst yourselves.

As mentioned before, Share Play is limited to 60 minutes at a time, but the trick to extending the session is to start a new one right after the previous one expires. The time remaining is displayed via the Party screen. However, the downside to using Share Play is players cannot livestream or use Remote Play, and there are scenes from some games that are not accessible when the feature is in use.

Speaking of leaks, not much has been released in terms of game information for the PlayStation Plus lineup for November, especially considering that October is about to end. It may be that Sony is preparing to release the official lineup on the month itself, as it did for the October PS Plus announcement.

However, Gamepur has previously spotted at least one game confirmed to debut on the PS4 and PS Vita for the PlayStation Plus in November. According to the report, the game is "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth." This has already been confirmed way back in September by the developer during a fan conversation in a PlayStation Blog post. "This is the PS+ November game for North America and Europe, so yes," said Tyrone Rodriguez, founder of developer Nicalis, as quoted by Gamepur.

In line with the PS Plus, another game that has been anticipated for quite some time now is the PS Plus free edition of "Driveclub." It appears that the latest update from developer Evolution comes in the form of an apology as there are still no concrete details regarding the release date.

CVG reports that the PS Plus edition for "Driveclub" is still tagged as delayed even after the main game's two weeks' lifespan in the market. The reason for the delay is still server issues after immense traffic was experienced with users trying out the social media and multiplayer goods.

While players with the complete game can access the online version at certain times, the studio mentioned that the team is still trying to improve the situation. The team also said that it is getting "on top of the problem." "We will continue to keep you up to speed with the improvements we make and would like to thank you again for all of your feedback and messages about your time with the game so far--please keep them coming," said Evolution Studios in a statement quoted by CVG.
