Fans of EA's "NHL 15" may have noticed that at launch, the game is missing a couple of modes, considering that this would be the first title that debuts on the next-gen consoles.

It seems that the content did not see a similar improvement,

even with the fact that "NHL 15" is coming into the next-gen lineup of games. If anything, it appears that this version of the game has fewer features than its predecessor.

Gamerant reports that those who are already playing "NHL 15" via the EA Access have found that there are far fewer modes than before. It does not help that the missing modes are reportedly already in last year's version of the game, which makes it seem like the features were lessened instead of improved.

The report lists down a few of the missing features that seem to have been removed from "NHL 14," which include the following:

- Live the Life

- Be a Legend

- NHL 94 Anniversary Mode

- Create-a-play designer

- Create-a-team

- Action Tracker replay highlights

- Fantasy draft option

- Tournaments

- Mobile app

One reason that EA Sports has given in light of the missing features is that there will be upcoming content coming out. The company explained that it released "NHL 15" on Sept. 9 with its "light fixings" to ensure that the game would be released during the NHL season.

Nilsen Report adds that Sean Ramjagsingh, EA producer, has already stated that there will be future updates for "NHL 15" to bring in the missing content.

"We're not done. We're committed to keeping the experience fresh throughout the hockey season," Ramjagsingh said via the forums as quoted by the Nilsen Report.

He also stated that there will be free content updates coming to the Xbox One and PS4 version of "NHL 15," and this September alone, fans can expect a ton of post-launch content, including the following:

- Playoff Mode: Players can finally make a custom offline tournament bracket with more than 16 teams from any of the 12 leagues, and these can be simulated with each game.

- Be a Pro - Coach Feedback: Users can now get feedback from the coach while on the bench, and this time, they can try to be on top of the game.

- 3 Stars of the Game: In every game mode, players can now see the 3 stars and high level stats of players.

- Hockey Ultimate Team: There will also be changes in the layout and navigation, new animations for player items and improved features to easily identify injured players or those who require contract extensions.

There are even planned post-launch content for October, including Online Team Play and GM Draft. Check out the link for Nilsen Report to see some screenshots of additional content.
