Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Web Site; Warning for Android 4.3 Update
With Samsung finally releasing a version of the media invite for the Unpacked event on Twitter, and with an emphasis on "Note the date" aspect of the invite, it's almost a pretty clear swipe at the Galaxy Note 3 and its reveal on the grand date.
And yet it seems that Samsung is not yet content with the confirmation, and may be teasing fans even more.
Gotta Be Mobile reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has appeared on the official company website, though only in name as the overall design and finish has yet to be leaked in its entirety.
The leak was discovered by Android Central, which found the leak in a SideSync software manual. What is interesting is that, in the manual, installing the smartphone app of what appears to be the SideSync feature is not required with the Galaxy Note 3 and later models, which can mean that there may be a feature in the upcoming device that has not yet been leaked.
Warning about upgrading to Android 4.3 on the S4 Google Edition
If you have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition and are thinking of upgrading to the latest Android 4.3 update, you might want to wait until a bug update has been fixed.
Phone Arena has found a problem that comes with the update, as affected handset now can't write to a microSD card. The offered explanation in the report suggests that there may have been a jumble in the placing of the apps on a specific group, preventing the ability to write on the card.
Though it's likely that a bug fix for this problem will be rolled out, those who want to deal with it soon can easily either root their phone to fix the error, or install the ES File Explorer, as per Phone Arena's suggestion. If you haven't done the upgrade yet, best to wait it out for the meantime.
Samsung pursues OLED screens?
The Korean device manufacturer may have probably found its next project by way of OLED manufacturer Novaled.
In a report from Into Mobile, Samsung has acquired 40% of the company, which can therefore mean that Samsung is heavily investing on finding more innovative ways to make use of the OLED display.
Earlier rumours linked to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 suggested that the device will be released with a flexible OLED display, which has been one of the projects that Samsung has long been speculated to be delving into.
Considering that LG and Samsung have had a longstanding battle on who will roll out the first flagship device with a flexible OLED display, this may be Samsung's best bet to acquiring the right technology and research to back up the job.
Of course, it may not be limited to just smartphones and tablets, as there have also been reports that the company has also been in the business of producing OLED TVs. It looks like Samsung will have a lot of material to work with and work for the coming months.
