The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 may have already been showcased to the public, but now some of the carriers have also been announced. By the looks of it, Samsung is targeting a more expansive reach with its latest phablet.

Three carriers have already been reported to carry the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, including AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. Not only that, these four carriers have also announced plans on carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge--the more innovative device with a curved edge and two displays--which will come out this year.

Tech Times has spotted a Verizon signup page for those who want to receive alert updates on the preorder availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. There's also an announcement that AT&T will be one of the first carriers to offer the two Samsung devices, while Sprint and T-Mobile also followed suit with their own announcements.

The four carriers did not provide specific details on which month they plan to release and offer preorders, but according to Samsung, they are planning to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in October.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 To Get Android 4.4.4

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is starting to gain traction as one of the better phablets in the market today, owners of its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, also have something to celebrate. The 2013 phablet will now be getting the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat treatment.

This applies to those who are subscribed to Sprint and are sporting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. According to Android Police, Samsung has already updated their support website with the changelog for the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update.

The new update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 includes the HD voice icon support, international Wi-Fi calling support, Knox 2.0, Kids Mode and Google Security Patches. The new update can be downloaded via OTA, but note that the rollout may come in batches, so keep checking if it's already available in your area.

Another Samsung Metal Phone On The Way?

If the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are not enough as new additions to the smartphone market, the South Korean company may be upping the premium quality of its smartphones. SamMobile has gotten an exclusive tip for a device with the model number SM-A500.

This supposedly new device may be the next phone to be launched by the company, and the report emphasizes that this may be Samsung's fully metal-bodied smartphone with a non-removable back cover. All of the other rumoured specs for the SM-A500 are in the mid-range level, including a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, a microSD slot and 2330 mAh battery. But if the full metal body is true, it will now feature a more premium hardware, perhaps one of Samsung's most premium ones to date.
