UPDATE: Preorders for U.S. and U.K. and rumours on date for possible Android L update.

With October nearing, preorders have started to appear for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, despite the absence of a definitive announcement of the exact release date. It seems that retailers are just as excited to provide its customers access to the newest phablet from Samsung.

However, not all territories are enjoying this offer, as only three areas have been receiving updates on preorders. Slashgear reports that among the first to officially announce preorders are retailers in U.K. Clove, while JD in China has also offered preorders.

According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in the U.K. at £479.17 or £575 with VAT. Retailer Clove has also stated that stocks will only start coming in by Oct. 13. In China, retailer JD is accepting preorders for 5,199 RMB. The preorder schedule is set until Sept. 25, as the device will reportedly be already available by that day.

Load the Game adds that this would be a good opportunity for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 because the sale of the iPhone 6, one of the more similar offerings that could be a competitor to the phablet, is delayed in China until 2015, so it could take advantage of the gap in availability. In fact, the closer competitor, the iPhone 6 Plus, is also reportedly delayed in China, and given that there is no specific word on when it will hit the Chinese market, this could put the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 as a viable alternative for those who are not deadest on getting the iPhone 6 Plus.

The third area where the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to hit earl is South Korea, the home of the Samsung brand. GSM Arena has heard a rumour that the end of September will see SK Telecom, KT and LG U+ launching preorder offers for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Interestingly, the date that has been mentioned for release is Sept. 26, which matches the date that was announced for the Chinese market. But given the expected delay from Apple's two newest handsets, it won't be a surprise if Samsung starts to make its move early on in the game to get more of the market share.
