Top 5 Samsung Galaxy S5 Concepts: Which One Will Make It To the 2014 Release?
2013 caps off with rumors of an early release for the Samsung Galaxy S5, pegged by March 2014 after the same timeframe release date for its predecessor.
Before anything is announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in February, here are the standout Samsung Galaxy S5 concepts that have made the months following the Galaxy S4's release a bit more colorful while waiting for the next flagship phone.
HTC One ver 2?
The latest of Samsung Galaxy S5 concept has shown off a rather familiar look, as it borrows the form of the HTC One. From designer Hasan Haymak, Phone Arena reported the Samsung Galaxy S5 concept has an edge-to-edge display screen, two speakers, a metal body and reversible microUSB ports.
The look is undoubtedly that of the HTC One, and though Samsung may not necessarily blatantly borrow a rival smartphone's design, a metal body for the Samsung Galaxy S5 is not bad to hope for.

Crome Design, Full Display Front
A concept video created by RAPG2GO puts a new spin to the previous rumors of edge-to-edge display to provide a bigger screen size to the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy S5 Crome, the concept features some interesting features. Among them are Beats Audio Sound, a 16-megapixel IOSCELL camera with Optical Image Stabilisation and LED flash, and 2560x1440 pixel display screen.
The screen is interesting with an edge-to-edge display from top to bottom and side to side. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Crome specs list includes 4 GB of RAM and the rumored 64-bit chip Exynos 6 Octa-processor. Check out the video in the link above.

Curved S5, Curved the Right Way
With bendable and bended smartphones becoming a trend in concept phones--though it was made a reality by both LG and Samsung in very different ways--here's another one, this time for Samsung Galaxy S5.
Slashgear has found this concept, which follows the way LG's Z phone curves, but the curve for this concept is gentler. Some of the specs for this Samsung Galaxy S5 concept include a 5.2-inch display with 2K resolution, a 16MP ISOCELL camera, HD video capabilities, and even an iris scanner, which has been rumored for the upcoming Samsung smartphone. Check out the photo renders in the source link above.
Squared-off Edges, Rounded Ends
Designer Maël Oberkampf has also come up with a concept design for Samsung Galaxy S5 as posted in Tuvie.com.
You get a smartphone with curved tops and bottoms but with a square-ish overall appearance. What's also striking about the design, which you can view in the link above, is the textured backside of the phone. It's noticeably more textured even compared to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active's back cover design.
The specs of this Samsung Galaxy S5 concept include a 5.5-inch 4K screen, an aluminum body, 20-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, a choice of 32 GB or 64 GB internal memory, 3000 mAh removable battery, the Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, and the 64-bit Exynos octa-processor.

Folding Phone
There was also a time when fans have taken Samsung's knack for being the first to introduce new, ground-breaking technology in smartphones. One of the more futuristic Samsung Galaxy S5 concept renders includes one from mobileaks.nl.
As seen in the photos in the link, Concept-Phones said this is a concept exploring bendable screens rumored to be one of Samsung's latest projects for its phones.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 concept allows the user to fold the phone in half--AMOLED screen, battery, and all--to lessen the size in your pocket or bag without diminishing the screen size. Aside from the squared-off design reminiscent of a Sony Xperia Z phone, it features a 7.55 mm thickness pre-folding.
