The actual box office gross of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is $5.465 million. It is the second installment of "The Hobbit" films directed by Peter Jackson, who also directed "The Lord of the Rings" (LOTR) films ("The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King") from 2001-2003.
